Two new, 30-second TVâcommercials extend Breckenridge Brewery of Coloradoâs low-budget parody âBeervertisingâ campaign, introduced last year in a 15-second format. The new spots last longer and aim lower, targeting two mass beers from south of the border.
Introduced in the first spot as the âthe least interesting man in the world,â budding TVâstar Bob Harrington (day job: Breckenridge head brewer) stares straight ahead as endless bottles of his 471 IPA get capped. His only line: âIâalways drink beer. And when Iâdo, Iâprefer good beer.â At spotâs end, the V.O. concludes, âNever stay thirsty, my friends.â In the second spot, Bob sits back to the camera, watching incoming waves on a warm and sunny beach... on TV. He grabs a Breckenridge Agave Wheat, flicks the channel to football, and settles in. Supered type (the spot has no spoken words) reads, âFind Your Couch.â The two commercials were produced on a combined budget of about $10K, and will run on Colorado news, sports and Sunday prime time programming.
