To talk about the importance of music programs in schools, this Big & Tall commercial takes a humorous tone with a more controversial topic. Bullying isn’t something you normally joke about, but in this instance it helped make a point: that all types of kids become more productive if they are involved in music. Music programs in public schools have been on shaky ground over the last few years because of the down economy. Scott Kaplan, the writer of the ad, is a concerned parent of two musicians who wants to get the word out about this little discussed topic. To help promote National Arts in Education Week, the ad’s creators are offering the video for free to any organization in the country where their music program is in jeopardy. Contact scott@scottmkaplan.com for more information.
