American Airlines glamorous new print campaign, "The Legend Is Back," from McCann New York breaks in time for the Oscars. The New York to Los Angeles route is itself part of the legend. It is quite literally "Flight 1." American flew the very first nonstop transcontinental service in 1953 with its DC-7s, the luxurious flagships of another era.
