Integrated production company Big Block partners with agency 180 LA to showcase the advanced technology of Mitsubishi’s All-New Mirage G4 and next generation Mirage with a four-spot campaign directed by Shaun Collings. Collings showcases his eye for design for the series of ads, using CG-technology to highlight the Mirages’ cutting-edge capabilities, including new levels of fuel efficiency, an industry-leading warranty and support for Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Collings and the team at Big Block utilized a real-world camera techniques within their CG environment to retain a sense of weight and realism throughout the spots. The Big Block team explored over a hundred camera moves to find the right balance that would showcase the Mirage in a whole new way, while also maintaining true mobile phone-inspired camera movements and reflections. Due to the unique camera angles the team had to construct a series of new cg lighting rigs to animate harmoniously with new camera motions.
