Head & Shoulders: The World's 1st Recyclable Shampoo Bottle Made From Beach Plastic

Saatchi & Saatchi London has created this project for Head & Shoulders. Last year it was publicised by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation that by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean. After hearing this shocking statistic, Head & Shoulders decided to commit to use recycled plastic at the very heart of its production process. What came out of this pledge was the world's first recyclable shampoo product, made from collected beach plastic. Over 100 NGO's and 1000 volunteers worked hard to collect plastic from beaches all over Europe which were then turned into limited-edition recyclable shampoo bottles. These Head & Shoulder bottles were launched in June with an exclusive partnership with Carrefour in France but there are plans to expand the beach plastic recycling programme and other recycling programmes across other countries.
