BEST TVWinner:
VW Tall Girl. Beautifully directed story about a tall girl who finds life a little hard because of her height. Difficult meetings and awkward shared umbrellas. Until she meets her perfect partner. A tall guy with a VW UP that can accommodate both of them. They drive off into the sunset.
Runner Up:
VW Think Blue. VW Again. This time a story of dads using their cars to send their babies to sleep. Except when the blue motion cuts out the engine the babies start to cry. Most clients would run a mile from an idea that focuses on the negative of the product but this ad is done with charm and wit and makes it point.
BEST PRINTWinner:
VW Golf Restaurant. I thought I'd seen the last of the reverse camera campaigns that populated Cannes a few years ago. This one is pretty fresh.
Runner Up:
ZMG Newspaper. An ad for advertising. It makes the point that your ad will stand out, and I think it does.
BEST OUTDOOR Winner:
Ikea. A poster that is the product. An idea that brings the store onto the streets.
Runner Up:
Situation Stockholm. A thoughtful and intelligent idea that tells the story behind the faceless homeless. Making the audience engage with them and their situation.
BEST INTERACTIVEWinner:
Migrator Bird. A simple and potentially boring offer is brought to life in an engaging way. The offer last till the bird comes back. Beautifully tied into the winter offer.
Runner Up:
Dove Real Beauty Sketches. Overly sentimental but a clever way of talking about women's negative self image.
