BEST TVThis batch of TV/Web Film is tricky. I was excited to see what
Snickers would do for Super Bowl this year, but when it came to the LIVE part - I wasn't sure why it had to be live in the end - other than the mention of the 3rd quarter - there didn't seem to be anything to make it seem like it couldn't have been filmed in advance. That said, I bought the hook, and from this bunch it's my pick - for trying to do something different during the game.
Runner up is
Old Spice.
BEST PRINTPrint was a bit contrived this week, leaving me unable to pick a clear winner. If I was an eager ad student and I could
win a trip to New York to meet David Droga, I would think that was pretty cool. So I'll give that a nod and a congrats to the student who wins this year.
BEST OUTDOOR My pick:
Starmark: The Investigation. To be honest, I didn't make it through the whole video - at over 5 minutes it was just too long. But I like the concept.
Runner up:
Hateboards are fun. I personally feel a bit bad for Kanye. But a fun idea to let off some steam through sport.
BEST INTERACTIVEMy pick:
Cochlear Implant. I like the idea of a different type of hearing test. I wonder if people who need Cochlear Implants wouldn't know already that they had significant hearing loss, but interesting to bring something new to make me think about my own hearing. I wish I knew how long the film was on the site when I was getting into it though.
Runner up:
Free beer when it rains? Probably not the newest concept, but sounds good to me.
