EECA: Gen Less

Gen Less calls on people, regardless of age or background, to unite in ‘an energy revolution’. It combines the might of government, with the power of people and business, to make meaningful changes in the battle against climate change. It’s a lifestyle choice. A shift in mindset. A decision to reimagine how we live, and start getting more out of life, by using less energy.

To launch Gen Less we looked to the past for inspiration. Leaders from across history, who all had their own defining moments. We partnered with motion-graphics house Assembly to create a new ‘upcycled’ speech, from a mixture of famous and barely seen footage. The film itself became a testament to getting more from less energy.

In the film we invoke voices from civil rights, science, world peace and politics. Martin Luther King, Jr., Albert Einstein, Mother Theresa, JFK, Princess Diana and many, many others. Twenty-three voices reborn from the dead, to take on one last, generation-defining challenge.
