Working towards a genuine belief that zero deaths or serious injury is achievable on our roads, the Safe System interactive site was devised to educate people about the multiple layers of safety put in place to protect road users. The website integrates a user’s personal information to assess how the layers of safe vehicles, safe driving, safe roads and safe speeds, combine to personalise their overall protection on the road. A series of videos featuring myth-buster style experiments sequentially educate the user about the each of the layers as they scroll, informing them about the various safety measures put in place, and how users can play their part when on the road.
