Sir David Jason of Only Fools and Horses came up with an idea of producing a comedy scene - simply to raise spirits and make people laugh - in these trying times. With the help of The Mob and BrockBrown Films, Jason was aiming to push the scene to as wider audience as possible. The Mob and BrockBrown Films have a close working relationship with David, so David called executive producers Rod Brown at BrockBrown and John Brocklehurst at The Mob to help produce the scene. Director of production Mark Collins says: "These are challenging times, so a little bit of humour does us all the world of good. As David has said to us this morning "I hope will bring a smile to people’s faces in these difficult times. Glad that your expertise could help spruce it up. Unlike my hair!!"." David Jason shot the action himself and sent it to the Mob via WhatsApp. The team at The Mob came up with comedy and production ideas and liaised with David over how it’d work. Sir David Jason commented: “In these trying times, I just wanted to raise spirits with this funny message, especially as after five weeks of lockdown, people really are starting to need a haircut!”
