Penington Institute: The Report That Can Stop An Overdose

Since 2014, deaths from preventable drug overdoses have outnumbered the road toll. Yet, the national epidemic continues to be met with silence.
That’s why, in the lead up to this year’s International Overdose Awareness Day, Penington Institute is going to new lengths to give Australia a dose of reality when it comes to Australia’s overdose crisis.Instead of releasing Australia’s Annual Overdose Report 2021 in the same vein as years gone by, Penington decided to print just 10 copies and deliver them to our leaders who have the power to tackle this issue front on.

Each copy of The Report That Can Stop An Overdose, has been printed with ink containing 0.4mg of Naloxone, the dosage needed to instantly reverse the effects of an overdose, but sadly isn’t readily available to those at risk.
