Southern Cross is on a mission to prolong the quality time we have with our furry friends. They are with their customers to help their pets live their best pet lives for longer. Something we like to call 'Living Your Pet Life'. As the dark nights of New Zealand's winter close in. Our first mission is to tackle road safety for our pets. We set up outdoor sites that had speed cameras built into them. Traffic driving at dangerous speeds would be served a warning to slow down.

But this was no ordinary message. We cast real local pets who walk, strut, parade and adventure in proximity to the billboard sites. Drivers who were speeding would then know the names and faces of the pets they were putting in danger by driving unsafely. Because there's nothing quite like looking the pet you’re putting at risk right in the eye to encourage you to stick to the speed limits.
