PSA: Special Love Operation

Top 6: August 24th 2022
A group of creative professionals launched a Special Love Operation to outsmart the Russian war censorship. Russia has tightened its control over the internet. Authorities have blocked access to Facebook, Instagram, restricted Twitter, and banned several foreign news organizations’ websites. This means that Russian people don't have access to the truth about the war and tragedy happening in Ukraine. A group of professionals from the creative industry found a clever way to bypass the Russian wall of censorship with Tinder.
Agency: JANDL Bratslavia

On 17 of March, the https://specialloveoperation.com/ website was launched which directly references Putin’s lie about the war and invasion, by naming it just a special military operation. The website is inviting people from all over the world that have Tinder Plus accounts to help spread the truth to Russian people through pictures and messages. To bypass the censorship, people are invited to change their location to any city in Russia, use pictures from the gallery as profile pictures and paste a message to inform Russians about what is really happening in Ukraine.
