On the 5th of September 2022, the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands became the first city in the world to ban meat adverts for environmental reasons. On the 12th of September 2022, La Vie became the first plant-based meat brand to advertise in Haarlem. Yes, the campaign is a bit of a tease. But for a good reason: La Vie strongly believe that plant-based bacon is the future. Why? Because it is a perfect answer to all the tensions that come with the consumption of pork bacon. It tastes just as good as pork bacon (La Vie are not making it up, the Technisens Institute tested it in June), it looks just like pork bacon, but it doesn't contain pork, which means that La Vie can save those cuties it loves so much and everyone can sit at the same table (from Haarlem to Harlem). It uses less water. Land. Lives. It emits less CO2.
