Food Solutions KZ: the unexpected FACADES


In 2023 McDonalds left Kazakhstan, leaving behind many rumors and intrigues... and also enormous expectations about the next BRAND.

But it also left what we were most proud of: OUR LOCAL EMPLOYEES.

And while everyone in the country was waiting for the announcement of the new BRAND, we transformed all our Restaurants into Outdoor Media to celebrate the loyalty of our employees, writing their names at the place that was historically only reserved for the brand: the FACADES.

We surprised them! We did during the night, and next day the effect simply broke expectations, it automatically went viral, everyone started posting their own names on facades on social media, generating a lot of news and PR posts, due to the unexpected surprise. Obviously, the employees didn't know nothing about it.

A lot of noise and comments related to the unexpected change of a new brand name in the form of a person's name, etc.
Just imagine the number of people whose name coincided with that of the facades! Each of them played with it on their social media.

Lots of User-Generated Content, thousands of people tweaking the facades themselves using photoshop and putting their own names and posting.

Finally, it became a national PRIDE for Kazakhstan, thanks to a brand that celebrated and valued its local people and employees.
