Renault 4: Liberté At First Sight
A best-seller from the 60s to the 80s, it was emblematic of its era. At one and the same time a rally car, a vehicle for the Post Office, firefighters and Air France, it also evolved with society: between May 68, Woodstock, women emancipation, sexual freedom and new artistic inspirations... the 4L saw the birth of so many freedoms. Renault and its agency Publicis Conseil produce a film to unveil Renault 4 to the world. Through the two beautiful emblematic round eyes of different “4Ls”, we see various historical periods passing before discovering today the new look of Renault 4, carried in music by the song “Je reviens te chercher” by Gilbert Bécaud, with its powerfully evocative lyrics, which was chosen to illustrate the return of the emblematic R4. To bridge the gap between glorious past and promising future, the Start-Rec agency proposed a modernized, sparkling interpretation, imagining a revisited version in the form of a virtual duet between the original voice of “Monsieur 100 000 volts” and the vibrant voice of singer Candice Parise.
