Mothership directors Dael Oates and David Rosenbaum teamed up with Goodby Silverstein & Partners San Francisco to roll out the world’s first 4G mobile phone, the Sprint HTC EVO, in a new :60 spot titled “Firsts.” The spot premiered June 2nd, and showcases an elaborately choreographed domino effect toppling the world’s technological and cultural “firsts," including a steam engine, a gramophone, a television, an airplane and a rocket ship. As innovation after innovation falls, the spot ends to reveal the Sprint HTC EVO still standing. Stellar visual effects were provided by Mothership’s sister shop, Digital Domain.
