VCCP has been selected by L’Oréal Paris as its partner for the first digitally focused campaign the company has run.

The ‘Expert’ campaign will launch on the 12.08.2011 and is the first time in recent history that L’Oreal has decided against using a celebrity in their advertising campaign. The aim of the campaign is to create a personality for the L’Oréal Men Expert range that engages with men online and encourages them to reconsider male grooming. The ‘Expert’ is an expert at being a man, dispensing his advice on man skills to anyone who posts a question to him.

His catchphrase is… “a lot of people ask me”.

He has his very own iphone app – that provides a free sample of the product
He has taken over the L’Oréal Men Expert page and answers any questions or posts by members of the community.
He has llustrated ‘how to’ tips and lots of videos including:
• How to tie a tie
• How to pick a lock
• How to take the perfect profile picture
• How to choose an app

Jim Capp & Colin Byrne, Creative Directors at VCCP describe the campaign “Most blokes aren't comfortable talking about male grooming. Whilst many may think ‘they’re worth it’ the chances are they're not going to shout about it to their mates or broadcast it on their Facebook wall. We wanted to create a campaign that made it acceptable to talk about L’Oreal’s Men Expert range down the pub. The Expert allows us to engage our audience and fuel those conversations
