Since the date when it was founded in 1927, the International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism [LICRA: Ligue Internationale Contre le Racisme et l'Antisemitisme] has been in the forefront of the ongoing battle in France and abroad against "the infamy", against racism, against anti-Semitism, against all discrimination and in favour of equality for all persons.

LICRA fights against the dangerous acceptance of racism in everyday life. Today, racist and anti-Semitic individuals who claim and seek to express their opinions in order to rally as many people as they can to their cause have found a new space on the Internet which provides an ideal forum for expression: easy to use, accessible and unregulated.

It is to warn of this danger and to take action, that LICRA, with the support of the agency Publicis Conseil, is launching a new campaign entitled "New Weapon".

The campaign's main focus is to raise awareness about the emergence of violent and radical websites that pose a real threat to those targets considered "fragile" and impressionable such as children and young people.

Although the Internet represents real progress in our lives today, we must nevertheless remain vigilant, because it is also a space where all extreme and therefore potentially dangerous opinions can be expressed.

With this campaign, LICRA wants to create a reflex action in anyone confronted with this kind of website: react and protest by alerting LICRA.

The film, which exists in two versions: 45” and 60”, will be broadcast free on television channels and the Internet.
