To celebrate the United Nations vote to overwhelmingly approve the first global Arms Trade Treaty, we present a campaign that was designed to help Amnesty International secure signatures for a petition to ask President Obama to direct US support for the action.
The idea was simple: use street artists from around the world and inject "shareable graphics" into AI's massive Facebook community, social media and email list, fire up New Yorkers at a Times Square rally and secure 1 million petition signatures in two weeks. We enlisted Banksy's protégés to generate the art: Dennis Schuster from Germany, Sr. X from Spain and Justin Davis from Minneapolis.
