Greener Scotland: Listen to your legs

Embed Video
New 'Active Travel' campaign encourages Scots to leave their cars for short journeys.

The Scottish Government is launching its 'Not far? Leave the car' campaign via Story, encouraging drivers to break their 'car habit' for short journeys to help reduce CO2 emissions.

Choosing to walk short journeys, rather than using the car can make the environment cleaner and greener, improving people’s health and wellbeing.

The advertising including TV, radio, outdoor and field marketing was created by Story, the Scottish Government's lead creative agency on Greener Scotland. The wider integrated campaign also includes online advertising and a new smartphone app 'Journeys' created by Whitespace.

In the 40 second TV ad we see various people forced away from their cars by their legs which have taken on a life of their own.
