Skips is launching a new advertising campaign as the KP Snacks-owned snacks brand looks to target a new generation of young women.
The campaign, which launches on national press and radio this week, focuses on the tongue tingling properties of Skips, which have been revamped with improved flavour.
Three graphic press executions each feature a different tongue twister set against a bold colourful background and end with the strapline: “Train your tongue to twist with the tongue tingling crisp.”
Radio features the comedian and actor Matt Lucas struggling to read out tongue twisters until an intercom urges him to try some Skips as the “tongue tingling flavour can help your tongue twist”. We hear the sound of a crisp packet opening followed by enthusiastic crunching. Lucas triumphantly rattles out the twister. Each radio spot ends with the same strapline: “Train your tongue to twist with the tongue tingling crisp.”
