The new Twingo GT, launched in Goodwood last June, was designed to provide a true driving pleasure. In line with the GT tradition that is typical of Renault Sport, Twingo GT has a rear architecture that makes it more precise, comfortable and playful. Its design, its low hulk and its rear-wheel drive were all built with one objective: to make you enjoy the ride to the fullest.
How else can we illustrate the thrilling experience of driving this new sportive urban car than with a creative idea that highlights the infectious driving pleasure? When we met Lila Kalis, we immediately fell under her spell. We stumbled across her on her YouTube channel and we were floored by how well she mastered the steering wheel at such a young age. With her stuntman dad, Lila expertly drives bigger and well-known cars, except for one detail: these vehicles, thanks to her father’s skills, are adapted to her size! The result is simply adorable. Performing spins that do not pale next to bigger Hollywood stunts, she has gathered a strong following of 47 000 people on Instagram who religiously follow her drifts and maneuvers. The pleasure of driving, fun sensations and the thrill of speed... there was no doubt in our minds; Lila Kalis was our star! She agreed to share her driving pleasure with us at the wheel of the Twingo GT. In collaboration with the Renault Industrial Design Department, we decided to develop a tailor- made mini Twingo GT, paying particular attention to the tiny and minute details such as the aerator, the exhaust pipe and the stickers. The mechanics also designed the car specifically to allow Lila to reproduce the “Donuts” act and other stunts that she usually performs (with no special effects).
