Young men in New Zealand love doing dumb stuff in the water. But it’s killing them. Since they don't respond well to typical safety messaging, we created the Swim Reaper; a macabre character, who ironically encouraged them to be as dumb as possible. His black humour quickly earned him a big following on social media. But, despite his best efforts to peddle stupidity, he simply ended up pointing out the dangerous behaviours that lead to death.
