When someone takes a fake news article at face value, they’re essentially holding it to the same standards of a traditional publication’s standards of fact-checking, sourcing, and background research. TBWAChiatDay, New York wanted to dramatize that unfortunate situation, by creating visuals where members of the public are shown reading newspapers with titles that represent the sources that usually spread fake news.
