 GUEST JUDGE /BEST AD OF THE WEEK   WORLDWIDE    November 30, 2011 09:03 (Edited: February 17, 2023 05:19)
BEST TV
WINNER: Axe: Fiesta del Fin del Mundo. End of the world party? Can I go? Can everything be all weird and fun and sexy? Can it have a quirky cool soundtrack? Can those girls wink at me? Can I have a cool wallet with a bunny on it? I gotta steal some Axe from my 16 year old son.
SECOND: DNA: The cigarette that saves lives. Holy Crap. I didn't see that coming. Riveting beginning to end. The other thing I wondered was how you get these amazing advertising assignments for the DNA thingy?

BEST PRINT
WINNER: Pipican: Dog. I don't understand how this product works but it has a picture of a Bulldog peeing a great distance onto a mailbox. It wins.
SECOND: Institucional: Last Words - Salvador Dali. Made me Google Dali's last words. And consider not texting while driving.

BEST OUTDOOR
WINNER: adidas NZ/NZRU: All Yours. Love stuff like this. Lots of people on a treasure hunty, peeling things off billboards spree.
SECOND: Mobility Dogs: Wagging Tail. It's no Bulldog peeing a great distance (see print winner) but simple and makes you smile.

BEST INTERACTIVE
WINNER: Nissan Juke: Juk3d Experience. I have to apologize to our digital guys. I fell off the no-Flash wagon. I downloaded Flash Player 11 when it told me to. I got seduced by the music. The SFX. The sexy, silky, graphics. I raced my virtual car for 20 minutes straight. I cheated on HTML 5 and it's beautifully balanced and stable code. I feel dirty.
SECOND: Unchartered 3: Takeover. You can takeover my web page anytime.

https://www.bestadsontv.com/news/upload/Steve Red 11-15-07.jpgThis week's guest judge is Steve Red, president and chief creative officer, Red Tettemer Partners, Philadelphia.

Co-founder of Red Tettemer Partners, Steve is an art director by trade and a writer and strategic planner by passion. He's built and nurtured a bunch of marquee brands by believing people are smart so advertising should be too and the only real martini is made with gin. Some day - after his kids' teenage years - he'll settle down and start painting again, which is what his Dad says he should have done all along.

In his role as Red Tettemer's chief creative officer, Steve touches everything that goes out of the agency door from a strategic and creative perspective. And during his career he's had a blast working on brands including: Adventure Aquarium, Bravo, Century 21, CNN, Cartoon Network, Comcast, Dial for Men, ESPN, Five Below, Fox Networks, Kajeet Mobile, The Melting Pot Restaurants, Pennsylvania Tourism, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey, PBS Kids Sprout, Ska Brewing, Time Warner, TweenBrands, TuB Gin and Under Armour.
