 GUEST JUDGE /BEST AD OF THE WEEK   WORLDWIDE    July 11, 2016 07:57 (Edited: February 17, 2023 05:19)
BEST TV
Favourite: Ad council Love has no labels.
A powerful message of how differences are a big part of such a diverse country. The execution reminds us a bit to the man walking from johnnie walker.
Runner-up: Virgin media Usain Bolt
Well use of a celebrity with a strong message. The editing is great; as it makes you feel all the energy of Bolt and what’s behind.

BEST PRINT
Favourite: Bergedorfer Beer Belly Baby
Our favorite by far. Great print campaign, really simple insight nicely executed and works great as campaign. The more executions you see the more smiles it takes out of you, exactly the same as the beer does, the more sips you take the happier you become.
Runner up: Volkswagen Beetle Denim
Nice iconic execution that never gets old. For a global client like VW, this simple but clever ad can ran in every market in the world. Well done.

BEST OUTDOOR
Favourite: Europcar Carousel of Dreams.
This is really straightforward idea with a little bit of a twist; is using an icon like the carousel on a fun universal idea, but the execution is a bit too simple.
Runner-up: Carlsberg breathalyzela
This idea is really simple and relevant for our times of violence in football. Making an activation to drink responsible during the games and stop the violence.

BEST INTERACTIVE
Favourite: #blacklivesmatter
This is really simple and striking, maybe because we live in NY we feel it that way, but this piece as simple and raw playing really effectively in the digital space current context. And that's what interactivity is all about, be able to change things and adapt them to this fast changing world without the need of a planned big production. Well done Wieden+Kennedy for another great piece, but most importantly for not ignoring a really sad problem like racism.
Runner-up: Samsung Nordic Face your Fear.
There are a lot of new ideas right now using VR technology, there are so many that already feels somehow an old technology. But this one stands out as its fun to play with and apparently also helps you improve your fear. Really like the idea of the spiders, but wouldn’t it be even be better to give people the chance to select their fear from a list of fears? Imagine spiders, acrophobia, claustrophobia, etc. That will be an even cooler execution.
