âMr President, welcome to the land of free press.â This is the message that greeted Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin during their visit to Helsinki, Finland on July 16th. Behind the outdoor campaign is Finlandâs largest newspaper, Helsingin Sanomat, who placed 300 billboards throughout visible areas in Helsinki. âTrump calls media enemy of the people,â and another says âPutin is trying again to bring the media to heel.â This last execution is printed in Russian. Kaius Niemi, Senior Editor of the newspaper tweeted: âAs we welcome the presidents to the summit in Helsinki, we want to remind them of the importance of free press.â
