Guest Judges: Rob Messeter and Mike Crowe, AMV BBDO, London

 GUEST JUDGE /BEST AD OF THE WEEK   WORLDWIDE    November 05, 2018 11:28 (Edited: November 05, 2018 22:28)
Winner: Roads have stories - A horror story in this case, powerful if a little familiar but makes its point well.

Runner-up: 'Peta Bear'. A slightly confusing start, but showing the horror of animal cruelty through the device of a teddy bear was creepy and memorable.

Winner: Home office - A solid ad, well crafted. The scariest thing about it is that we need this sort of advertising at all.

Runner up: Crocobeach straws - Neat, although feels like the line might need a tweak, not sure how a straw takes 4 mins of someone's life or why this is relevant to the message about protecting our ocean life.

Winner: Wage gap - This was good, relevant and timely, a great way of showing how ridiculous the gender pay gap is.

Runner up: 'North Face' - Quite like the WTFness of it and makes its point about lightness in a memorable way.

Winner: Our Watch 'Doing nothing' - makes for uncomfortable viewing and clever use of tech to bring the viewer into the story.

Runner up: MSCHF Kneel - simple and uses tech to make it point well.

Some treats, but nothing too scary, apart from that Peta ad...
