Amid reports of couples postponing their weddings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, polytechnic sweethearts Varian and Ruoyi, whose wedding ceremony was originally scheduled for 30 May 2020, celebrated the day in a one-of-its-kind way with their bridesmaids and groomsmen on virtual Sentosa in this campaign created by BBH Singapore. The celebration took place as Sentosa welcomed guests from around the world to its virtual island on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, hosting players from 9 May - 1 June 2020 as they experienced Sentosa's island charm from their homes. Sentosa holds many fond memories for the couple, from date nights, to birthdays and anniversary celebrations. So, while Varian and Ruoyi had to postpone their actual wedding ceremony, Sentosa Development Corporation created an experience of a lifetime for the couple on the virtual island. In a novel wedding day programme, the celebrations kicked off with photoshoots at various offerings on the virtual Sentosa island, including Skyline Luge Sentosa, Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom, Ola Beach Club, Rumours Beach Club and along Siloso Beach, ending on a high at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa's wedding aisle, with the couple's bridesmaids and groomsmen!
