 GUEST JUDGE /BEST AD OF THE WEEK   WORLDWIDE    October 10, 2022 09:50 (Edited: February 17, 2023 04:19)
BEST TV
With some reference from PlayStation "Mountain" ad from 2003, "The Ball of Yarn" for Winamax got my choice as best TV of the week. Very well executed, with interesting art direction on the cat's masks and a nice idea: cats love to run after balls of yarn, nice idea to show how people love to compete and win. Also, I liked the ending showing the opposite, what cats hate the most: water. Right duration and nice build up making the engagement high.

BEST PRINT
Finding good visual metaphors in print ads always works well when well executed. That is the case of "Pets of War' for Four Paws. That is my choice for the best print of the week.
In a depressing context from Ukraine, a big hand with long arms reaches a dog. Interesting message for those who think they can't do anything from far. Visually you get it with a small help from the headline. Catch image and emotional message.

BEST OUTDOOR
The best outdoor of the week goes to Dole Sunshine Company "Nutritional Ink" - I had seen Pollution Ink and Invisible Ink, but Nutritional Ink seems, with no pun, "fresh."
Using the color from a combination of ingredients is an excellent way to dramatize how we lack vitamins compared to a tasteful chocolate bar, for example. This series of posters/billboards called Malnutrition Facts did well in finding a surprising way to talk about hard data.

BEST INTERACTIVE
So much has been done for Dove, and it makes it a challenging task to work on ideas for this amazing brand. The name "Real Virtual Beauty" is intriguing itself, which makes the statement very clear. This is my choice for the best interactive idea of the week. Gaming is another place where the wrong standard of beauty has been perpetuated, good approach and very relevant. Creating more "real" skins in an "unreal" world is very insightful.
