Quite a mixed bag this week, but that did at least make the winner clear. While the spot for The Hindu may not be the most innovative ever seen, it did have a strong core idea and an effective execution. READ MORE Guest Judges: Olivier Lefebvre+Benjamin Marchal, CLM BBDO Paris

I have to say I loved everything about the IKEA spot by Mother London: Such a beautiful example on how crafting, art direction, character and music can make a simple idea, this powerful. READ MORE Guest judge: Matt Kemsley, founder/CD, JMK, Sydney

I'm going to go for Cow & Gate because it's nice and simple. It's thirty seconds too long, but the target market will lap it up (boom tisch). READ MORE Guest judge: Axa Fahler, Senior copywriter, 358 Helsinki

Winner of the week: Nike Extra Time. Would I watch this ad again? Yes. Would I share this ad on Facebook? Yes. Do I think this ad is relevant, unique and memorable? Yes. This one scored the Yes-hat-trick that made my day. READ MORE Guest Judge: Noah Clark, ECD, Victors & Spoils, Boulder

Wow. Guinness, Skittles and Snickers in one week - all heavy broadcast hitters that have been responsible for some of the best TV work over the past decade. And maybe not surprisingly, this week goes to Guinness for me. Because Peter Thwaites and Nadav Kander and their friends at AMV BBDO have put something beautiful on film here. Choosing a winner from this week's TV category was easy. My vote goes to Rainforest Alliance's Follow the Frog. Although the style is familiar, the script is hilarious and the direction is tight. Any good film should be watchable many times over and the gags in this one keep it fresh. A disillusioned conservationist accidentally starting a forest fire and wiping out an entire species is priceless. Web films are usually long and dull but I wish I had this one on my reel. Favourite: The Hornbach spot is solid. The horror theme works and repeatedly coming back to the house kept the intrigue going for me. I wasn't sure where it was all going, and I like that in a spot. A little mystery goes a long way. Direction, casting and music all came together to make this memorable, and the reveal at the end to fix the crack with happy music was great. I'd like to see what else falls out of that dude. Glass or asbestos would be nice. READ MORE Guest judge: Magnus Thorne + Paul Turner, Pulse Group, London

Almost all great contenders here. Cats as evil criminal masterminds. Men in panto dog costumes, and pure house porn. Someone's been enjoying themselves. If we run the pure entertainment filter over these, which seems the only fair way, the spot we'd most like to watch again immediately has to be the winner, which this week is Queer Lisboa's gay cliche ad for their film festival. This week's winner has to be the effort from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for Carlton Draught. A wonderfully clever spot that's genuinely amusing - in no small part down to the immaculate precision of the spoof - from the ludicrously cheese-y 80's soundtrack (from the 80's BMX 'classic' Rad), to the various Hollywood homages they transition through seamlessly READ MORE Guest judge: Stephen Goldblatt, ECD at EVB, San Francisco

Winner: ESPN We speak your sport. Because it's clever, funny to watch and it highlights how good the product is using situations and language completely appropriate for the target. Winner: Smart Car - Facelift. As always, a simple idea executed simply always does the trick for most judges and me. The only problem I have with this Smart Car advert is that the hideous face-lift models actually look better than the new Smart Car. I do have some questions for the productions folks. Did you use some CG or did you actually cast for people with botched face-lifts and how much would you have to pay them to admit they have ugly faces on national TV? Just curious. Although there's nice work to see this week, nothing is truly fresh. We saw all these tricks before. So we asked ourselves - which one would we share on Facebook? So the winner has to be Movistar Ballet - funny (in a Argentinian non sense way) and with a nice final concept "What your dad is passionate about, is you". My vote goes for the ad that embraces the ridiculousness of the blatant "strategy showing" - VW. With a classic VW tone and some lovely actual acting in an ad, and a ridiculous visual pay off. Winner - VW Value Market READ MORE Guest judge: Tom Ormes, creative director, iris Amsterdam

Winner: Nike: Game on, World. A great mix of old school real-life gaming stuff with some great looking digital post. A good story, great production. Huge. Kind of pains me a bit to go with the big budget guy as the winner, but this one is tough to beat. An all-round cool ad. READ MORE Guest judge: Andrea Stillacci, president, HEREZIE, Paris

Tough category. Two ads stands out for me. First. Heineken, the switch. It's not easy for the agency to create another great spot after W+K's successes with "The Entrance" and "The Date". TBWA/Neboko has done a great job capturing how the brand can open your world. Especially when you discover new details every time you watch it. Best TV: Playboy: Barber. I thought the idea that somethings never change was a nice touch. However, what made the ad memorable was how it dramatized a true insight about the types of excuses men make when explaining why they read Playboy. Brilliant. Google Docs: Hall & Oates was far and away my favorite. A lot of ads use popular music in an offhand - and arguably lazy - way. This concept, while deceptively simple, bakes the song and the nature of the duo act into what is effectively a fun and engaging product demonstration. It's hard to do, and in this case it's a home run. READ MORE Guest judge: Ale Lauraeus, CD/Founding Partner, 358 Helsinki

There are several really nice spots to choose from in this bunch but Iâd have to say my favorite was the GettyImages. spot. Winner: Nike: Barbershop. Thereâs a lot I like about this commercial, it's smart and uses a pro athlete in an interesting way. Every player wants to be remembered, Mario Balotelli has had a colourful and controversial career thus far. A simple trip to the barbershop sends a strong message to soccer fans. With Euro 2012 around the corner we'll soon know whether Mario and his fohawk have what it takes. Great casting and wardrobe. Pro athletes typically don't act very well, Mario does a good job here. I like his delivery of the line, "not bad". READ MORE Guest judge: Kevin Lynch, executive CD, BBDO Chicago

FAVORITE: Polo: Father and Daughter. This spot had me from beginning to end. Great story. Perfect music. Excellent directing. Fantastic little moments. OK, so I'm I new father. But I would've loved it even if I wasn't. Although, would I have gotten all choked up and pretended not to be teary-eyed when someone walked into the room as I was watching the spot? We'll never know. READ MORE Guest judge: John Maxham, ECD, Cole & Weber United, Seattle

Winner: Land Rover LR4 - 7th Wheel. In watching the TV entrants, I felt I was watching a series of brilliantly executed film shorts with tenuous connections to whatever product appeared at the end. The one exception was Land Rover LR4 - 7th wheel. It too was brilliantly executed film, yet the humor flowed effortlessly from the product benefit. It was uniquely Land Rover throughout. Some spots are merely funny. Others are merely smart. 7th wheel is funny and smart. READ MORE Guest judges: Harry Woods + Gill Witt, partners, WWD&S New York

It's between two: P&G 'Best Job' and Bavaria Beer 'Charlie Sheen'. Coke-snorting tiger-blood drinking Charlie Sheen leaving rehab, to be tempted by pregnant beer swilling moms, prompting him to blurt out the full Fuck in WTF ...versus ...the crowd-pleasing emotive story of Mom's love spurring their kids on to Olympic glory in teary victory vignettes. Winner: Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase: Porn director. Obviously it's eye stopping visual material. A few funny jokes, even if some are insider ad folks jokes. I like the revived slapping Tango man. I guess it's pretty on target strategically and sets a good bar, no joke intended, for directors' work to go in to the Saatchi and Saatchi directors showcase. May also capture some interest for people to check out the accepted work. If someone actually remembers a commercial and talks it, then it's done a pretty good job I think. I imagine this commercial would be one talked and giggled about amongst ad creatives and directors. READ MORE Guest Judge: Scott Bell, creative director, Droga5, New York

Skittles: Bleachers When you're confronted with a Skittles ad your expectations are high. This execution met with mine. The Guardian 'Three Little pigs' spot. It's I-wish-I-had-done-that-bloody-amazing. I could go on about it forever, but I won't. Cosmopolitan Hotel They swung for the fence on this. That's for sure. And I really value that. I could nitpick some parts, but it was courageous. And fun to watch and delivers on the communication.
