My favorite of the bunch is the Show Exo: Car chase. The 'Picture so good you'll feel like you're really there' strategy is a little tired but this has been executed in a fresh and entertaining way. READ MORE Guest judge: David Alberts, CCO, Mofilm, London

Super Bowl is about funny and Toyota Camry is funny, men's and woman's sofa is funny. I worked on Camry years ago and to make ads that can make Camry seem anything but boring is a a good effort. READ MORE Guest judge: Todd Tilford, CCO, Draftfcb Chicago

Best TV: KINECT: STAR WARS DUEL. Hard to mess this one up. And they didn't. A lot of fun. Appreciate the fact that they didn't overplay it. Nice restraint. Played well. READ MORE Guest judge: Ben Smith, Associate CD, R/GA New York

The winner for me is Nike KobeSystem. It's a big, ridiculous idea. I love the funny self-help guru gobbledygook writing. It's a cool way to sell a shoe and doesn't really feel like an ad. And I like the famous people endorsing a basketball shoe that have nothing to do with the sport. I saw the teasers the other day and they're even better. So I sat down to look at Best Ads and to my delight, the first thing I saw was a sexy cop girl running through the streets. Hot as balls. I think there might have been a guy in it to. This Axe spot ended up being my runner up. READ MORE Guest judge: Andy Flemming, CD, M&C Saatchi Sydney

Some lovely spots here this week. LG's 'TV Thief' is a great product demonstration and a spot I've seen peppered around the net over the last few days. The Kompressor Plus vacuum spot made me laugh in a guilty way and will, no doubt, amuse the Cannes jury this year - especially if it's shown on about day two of judging. The Sam Kekovich campaign is always great but there can be only one, and for me it has to go to the British Heart Foundation's 'Hard & Fast'. READ MORE Guest judge: Toby Talbot, ECD, RKCR/Y&R London

A mixed bag of Christmas nuts but a few good ones amongst the rank walnuts. It could have something to do with the fact that I'm a bit of a mid century modern fan, but the Pacific Standard Time Art in LA spot with Ice Cube on Eames takes the honours this week. WINNER: Axe: Fiesta del Fin del Mundo. End of the world party? Can I go? Can everything be all weird and fun and sexy? Can it have a quirky cool soundtrack? Can those girls wink at me? Bupa : the moment. A beautiful idea beautifully crafted by a great director. I would love to work with, Steve Rogers. The future of advertising. Everyone's talking about it, but who's actually doing it? I really want the Mitsubishi v Photo Manipulation film to be the best thing on the page as it's clearly reaching for something new. However it's beaten hands down for human drama by the Organ Donor spot. The music and cinematography are spot on and it manages to take a well trodden subject and give it fresh twist. Winner: Pacific Standard Time. Most ads that attempt to get the public to take an interest in art come across as preachy. Or worse, condescending. This spot does neither, it's smart, entertaining and persuasive. It's also over 4 min long but I was drawn into the story so effectively that it flew by. I'm afraid none of these stand out as anything special at all. They're not bad, more like vanilla, with little or no toppings. Only Fedex has a little sprinkle because of its tactical nature - it launched here as the movie Contagion launched. But not enough to win the day I'm afraid. So everyone comes tie last. Call me a sucker for good old-fashioned writing but I've always loved the Fedex spots. They're almost a reason in and of themselves to persevere with watching the golf on a Sunday afternoon (that's if you live in the good ole U.S. of A.) They're consistently well-written, well-produced and watchable. And they're proof-positive that you can talk directly about your product and still not bore the pants off people. Not quite in the same league, so to speak, as Fox Sports 'Beware of things made in October' but to be fair it did make coffee come out of nose in the airport lounge when I saw it today. The winner for me has to be the spot for Thien Long. It's a lovely idea: to position stationary as something that encourages children learn more about the world. It taught me a few things too, such as an elephant weighs less than the tongue of a blue whale. And the animation and voice over are both faultless. My favorite was the ridiculously abstract 1882 Fernet. spot. It's completely insane and the direction is fantastic. I think the message is just telling us to "relax with a Fernet" but it could be "don't eat airlifted pen lids". Either way I've watched it about ten times and it still fascinates. It's the best of the bunch. READ MORE Guest judge: Ted Royer, ECD/Partner, Droga5 New York

France24 'The Birds. Can I rate an ad best of the week if the wrong client is attached to it? Well, I'm going to. The best ideas connect two disparate things to make something new. In the case of this film, borrowing from Hitchcock's film of the same name and connecting that to the peoples' revolutions in the Arab world (via the Twitter logo) is pretty smart. And the execution is very nicely done, if long by half. But what could have been a powerful message and rallying cry for a human rights group hits an odd note when you get to the sign off, for the French news channel, France24. Toyota. It worked like a great detective story. You knew what was coming up but you still enjoyed every moment. It also told more than just the benefit. It showed that we develop all kinds of relationships to the product and with the product to the people around us. It was like visualising the Facebook of a car. Land Rover. Well done to the agency, who are at the root of this saga. I love it. This film is one of the funniest in the series. The way they twist the sense of security that we feel at the wheel of the Land Rover is a gold mine. The acting is perfect and the comedy of the situation works to perfection. This campaign is a pleasure to watch and it leaves us impatiently looking forward to the sequel. READ MORE Guest judge: Jean Francois Sacco, ECD, CLM BBDO, Paris

Best TV is Dodge Charger: Car Chase. How do you demonstrate the driveability, the power and the speed of the new Dodge? By revamping the classic car chase. A duchess charging at breakneck speed, an amorous commoner hanging onto her car... the result is an off-beat, refreshing and exhilarating film in an already overcrowded advertising sector. A slightly disappointing collection of TV ads. I'm usually a fan of spokesman-walking-and-talking-to-camera-while-funny-things-happen scripts. And I do like this Old Spice script.
