Creative Director at McCann NY

Benjamin Vendramin

Biography

Benjamin Vendramin is SVP Group Creative Director, responsible for McCann New York’s largest account, Verizon FiOS.

Before joining McCann, he was Executive Creative Director and partner at his own agency, GVI. Prior to that, he was Creative Director and partner at TBWA/Chiat/Day Toronto, managing the creative department across all agency clients. Under his creative leadership, TBWA/Chiat/Day became one of the most awarded agencies in Canada, ranking him 5th most awarded Creative Director by Strategy Magazine.

Benjamin is best described as a true hybrid creative… able to consistently and seamlessly integrate old school brand storytelling with new technologies to produce innovative creative ideas, such as the Verizon/SNL backstage experience and The Greatest Action Movie Ever for Michele Obama’s
anti-obesity effort, which Benjamin co-wrote and directed.

Throughout his career, he’s been consistently recognized by every major award show, in practically every category, and in every media: from social, digital and mobile, to print, film and branded entertainment.

Most recently, Benjamin helped lead his team to wins at the One Show, SXSW, Communication Arts and Cannes, contributing to McCann NY being named Agency Of The Year at the Art Director’s Club and Ad Age's top 10 Agencies To Watch.

He’s a graduate of Canada’s premier art school, OCAD University. He has served as a judge at leading creative award shows such as Communication Arts, London International Advertising Awards, The New York Festivals, Canada’s Cannes Young Lion Awards and Applied Arts Awards Annual.

Benjamin lives in Irvington, New York with his wife Susan and daughter Isabella.
