Navy: Moist

To recruit people into the Navy to become Communications Network Operators, we wanted to show them how important and high-stakes the role really is. How? By exploring just how much a bad Communications Operator could screw things up.

We came up with a list of recognisable Navy commands, and showed how getting one letter wrong could completely change their meaning. From throwing Nan overboard, to rushing to pat a duck, these absurd bits of Navy comms grabbed attention and showed that there’s simply no room for error in the Navy. In doing so, it invited those with an eye for detail to join a role where their skills will be put to good use.
