BBDO Canada wanted to showcase the plight of refugees in a way that Canadians could relate to. Bring it closer to home. The UN Refugee Agency wanted an awareness campaign to help raise funds for the more than 10 million refugees, worldwide. The problem is many people living in “first world” countries don’t understand what it means to be a refugee. Therefore, they don’t donate.
