Burger King: Whopper Island, 1

Burger King Brazil, has proposed Whopper lovers to change the name of McDonald’s Island, a remote volcanic island between Madagascar and Antarctica. The famous fire-grilled burgers brand claims that a place with real fire should be called Whopper Island. In the campaign, created by DM9 Brazil, Burger King invites consumers to participate renaming the island on Google Maps. By covering the island coordinates “53º04'35.69"S 73º30'49.18", it’s possible to comment on the location with #IlhaWhopper and win a Whopper discount coupon. In a mockumentary style the campaign gives more details about the island and shows a special Whopper delivery to the island keepers, the only authorized people in order not to disrupt the region's ecosystem. “If anyone deserves a hot, fire-grilled burger, it’s this team that takes such good care of our volcanoes,” joked Juliana Cury, CMO of Burger King.
