VW: Amarok

The new VW double cab, the VW Amarok created by Ogilvy Cape Town and directed by Greg Gray of Velocity shot over a week in the Northern Cape surrounds, sees Sarel Van Der Merwe and his wingman, SA Rally hotshot Gugu Zulu test drive over some particularly rough terrain demonstrating the car’s ‘go anywhere’ toughness. The car did in fact drive over all the terrain in the making of the commercial, something director Greg Gray felt was crucial in order to retain a sense of integrity and believability.
