Experiencing hearing loss in an unexpected way. How a hearing aid company partnered with an agency to make readers relate to the loss of hearing.

Toronto, Canada –November 2012 –Earlier this year, Sound Communication teamed up with Red Lion Labs to improve their company's communication. Their request seemed simple: let people know "we understand". Red Lion took this message and conveyed it in such a way that even those unaffected by hearing loss took notice. The agency innovated the company's communication style, widened their audience, and produced a series of ads that draw the reader in by actually demonstrating the effects of hearing loss in print.

Published in the Globe and Mail’s lifestyle magazine, the two-page ad stands out in unexpected ways. The font is small –almost illegible; and yet, the eye is drawn to it. The statements are simple; and yet, they provide the reader with something to think about.

Sound Communication is a Toronto-based hearing aid company servicing customers with varying degrees of hearing loss.

Red Lion is a group of creative capitalists focused on improving brand value.
