Ogilvy & Mather, Paris continue to create ways to integrate Netflix into the daily lives of the French; and, given it was Netflix first Christmas in France, Ogilvy thought what better way to ring in the New Year than with caroling cheer. Caroling is a tradition in France. So the idea was to choose the top favorite Netflix movies and TV series theme songs loved by the French and have them sung live as Christmas carols by Netflix street carolers. The Netflix carolers even went door-to-door. It was really special such a unique way to make the brand, again, a part of the French conversations. I understand that the Netflix carolers were even invited to sing live at local radio stations and that some radio DJs played the caroling Netflix theme songs as one of their selected music mix vs as a formatted "radio ad". Imagine the theme song from Kill Bill rolling off the tongues of cheery Netflix carolers.
