Elena Knox was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she learned how to tell what time of day it was by looking at the sun and how to mash plantains.
With those skills in tow, she moved to Boston for university and after graduation started her career in advertising as a receptionist. Yes, Elena is the original Peggy Olson from MadMen. As a writer, Elena worked at Mullen Lowe, Crispin, Porter & Bogusky, Havas New York and SS&K where she developed work for clients such as Jetblue Airlines, Best Buy, TJMaxx and even the Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign. Later on as a Creative Director at Droga5 in New York and as a CD at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, Elena helped launch global campaigns for iconic brands such as Huggies, Allianz, Amazon Music, MontBlanc and Visa. Most recently, she was an ECD at BBDO NY and helped develop iconic campaigns for clients like SAP, St. Germain and Starbucks.
Elena only writes in cursive, has never drank a cup of coffee in her life, is a lover of The New Yorker magazine and can teach you to dance salsa if you ask nicely.
