Working from home has become the new normal for many people this year, but recent Statistics Canada data shows that less than 40% of Canadians have a job that can be plausibly carried out from home. While 85% of jobs in finance and insurance can be done from somewhere other than the office, for example, that number drops to 45% for real estate professionals and to less than 15% for outdoor-focused sectors like construction. Regardless of where they work, however, the afternoon pick-me-up is a treasured ritual for Canadian workers, and Reese is committed to ensuring that people working outside the house have the same access to its Reese Outrageous bar as their WFH colleagues. Working with its agency partner Mosaic, the Hershey brand created “The Outrageous Flying Snack Cupboard”—a replica of the snack cupboard found in homes all across Canada, except this one stuffed with Reese treats. The cupboard was then flown via a giant drone to three outrageously inconvenienced Canadians working outside their house: A construction worker, a lifeguard and real estate agent.
