For the first time in 100 years, Stouffer’s mac and cheese is leaving the freezer and coming to the pantry aisle. So to launch their new, first ever, pantry-ready Supreme Shells & Cheese, Stouffer’s announced they wanted to fill every Pantry in America. Sounds impossible, right? Not when you realize we’re talking about people with the last name “Pantry.” And there are only about 90 of those spread out across the US. But this wasn’t just gonna be some cheesy road trip. Neighborhood food pantries need filling, too. And Stouffer’s new Supreme Shells and Cheese is shelf stable, making it the perfect addition. So Stouffer’s had a plan to donate 10,000 boxes not just to people named Pantry –but to neighborhood food pantries, too. And to lead the charge – and keep things fun and engaging, Stouffer’s enlisted comedian Heather McMahan (“Breadwinner” special on Hulu, Absolutely Not! Podcast host, Today Show guest host and the proud owner of two frenchies named Macaroni and Rigatoni). Heather packed a truck full of Supreme Shells and Cheese and took off on a cross country adventure. Sporting a “Honk if You’re a Pantry” bumper sticker, Heather and her truck wound their way through Florida, Iowa, Missouri and New Jersey, filling Pantrys – and neighborhood food pantries -- and leaving a trail of happy smiles and full stomachs in her wake.
