After five consecutive years working with Queer Lisboa (International Queer Film Festival), FUEL decided to produce something different. “”Mister Pink” and “Pride Heart” set the bar high. Every year we face the same challenge: can we set it higher?”, says Marcelo Lourenço, FUEL’s creative director. “I think we did it this year”, he adds. “It certainly has a different insight”, continues Pedro Bexiga, also creative director. “We decided not to use movie icons, that have always been a part of our ads for Queer, focusing the story on the public. This year we show the classic moment when a son decides to come out to his parents, but with a twist. I think it will make people smile and understand that Queer is a film festival for people who like good cinema and not only for the LGBT community.”
