Valentin Haüy: #LolForBlindTop 6: December 7th 2022
There are 217 million of blind and visually impaired people in the world. Most of them use a smartphone. Most of them use it to spend time on Social Media. However, on Twitter, a feature exists to provide a description of an image, making the content accessible to blind people since 2016: the 'Alt Text'. But many tweeters still ignore it when they tweet an image, like a meme. So, Valentin Hauy, an association dedicated to making digital accessibility a priority, decided to make a change by using humor to raise awareness about a more inclusive use of Twitter when sharing images, and spread our message: Meme responsibly.
