For the first time in its history, Adidas used the famous video game platform Minecraft to unveil the design of the new jersey for the Peruvian national soccer team. After 38 years, Adidas became the official sponsor of the Peruvian Football Federation again and, with our help, conducted a 360º campaign for its launch, relying on the metaverse to connect with a generation that spends most of its time on these types of platforms.
With the help of the well-known YouTuber MOX, we recreated the National Stadium and a huge jersey hidden under a large brick wall in the popular game. Famous streamers and their followers were invited to the event to demolish the wall and discover the new Adidas jersey design.
The virtual event, which was viewed by more than 11,000 people, ran parallel to the physical launch and set a new record for participation in Peru, confirming that there is a community willing to experience things with brands but on their own territory.
