So I've managed to galvanize an appetite to rate a series of ads and order food at the same time; kind of like a creative-consumer hybrid. Let's find out if the work is as refreshing if not more refreshing than the glass of OJ I'm holding in my hand.
BEST TVWinner: You've got to love every second of
Tesco's Love Every Mouthful; it's beautifully thought out and deliciously crafted, worthy of the Waitroses and Marks & Spencers of the grocery world. It's about time the brand plays catch up to the stimulating intention of its marketing and branding effort by the same folks who elevated Lurpak and Stride.
Runner up: That glass of orange juice.
BEST PRINTWinner: Scrambled eggs with caviar in puff pastry.
Runner up: Side order of crispy bacon.
Unfortunately, I struggled to rubber stamp any of the print ads. Fortunately my empty stomach at this point wasn't the main reason for that.
BEST OUTDOOR Winner: The jumping with Derrick Rose for
Adidas is the simplest yet the most intriguing of the lot. Great video by the way.
Runner up: A slice of Meolleux Chocolat.
BEST INTERACTIVEWinner: That website isn't exactly interactive, but what they did with the
Sound of Honda is simply exquisite and is as digital as it gets. The film alone makes me want to see more of it, never mind fans of cars, F1 racing and Honda. If F1 racing does need an opening act, this is it. The showcase wasn't about Senna, but the Power of Dreams.
Runner up: It's good to see
ROM continues its role as the unofficial ambassador of Romania. The janky aesthetic of the website feels right. If only they've chosen a more refreshing way to execute the videos and with a voice over that has a slight accent.
The
Rav4 Outdoor Website has the potential to be interesting, but what became of the actual website; did it get better or continue to suck? Or is outdoor after all? If so, why mountain bikes and not the Rav4 making the runs?
Ordered a selection of cheeses of the day with a glass of Ruby Port and called it a day. Thank you, it was fun.
