 GUEST JUDGE /BEST AD OF THE WEEK   WORLDWIDE    September 27, 2016 10:38 (Edited: February 17, 2023 05:19)
It's a big week for Bestadsontv. I definitely believe some pieces of this week will win the lions however I won't wager the same as Gary Lineker.

BEST TV
Winner: Audi "The Comeback". Brilliantly powerful storytelling. The most ferocious monster experiences the ups and downs in his modern life and gains his glory back with Audi Piloted Driving. It tells me again that a great character settings naturally leads to a great story.

Runner Up: 2016 Election "Background Checks". I was still a bit struggling between this one and the one of "Doctors Without Borders". Maybe because of my preference to simple treatment, I choose this one-shot film. The idea of blindfold is brilliant, which makes what he is saying more than eloquence.

BEST PRINT
Winner: Daman "Ad D". Not fresh technic, but the context makes it interesting. Anyway I want to have one, with sunglasses and sunscreen.

BEST OUTDOOR
Winner: Japan Railway Company: Delicious Supplement. A fresh execution to educate the public about healthcare. The pill-designed lunch box is also pretty, although I was thinking about something when I started watching the video. If someday someone invents a pill that contains the nutrition of one meal. People don't need to eat, take the pill, and then keep working. How scary it will be! Thanks God this idea is not that one.

Runner Up: Walkers Crips "UK". As a football fan, I'm laughing. It takes advantage of a social topic to get attention in a smart way. Only one question: Is it really Gary's body?

BEST INTERACTIVE
Winner: Children's Hospital of Minnesota "Breakthrough Tool". A lovely piece with insightful truth, in the context of "the launch of something breakthrough".

Runner Up: Finland's Children And Youth Foundation "Skipping Goes Both Ways". Well-utilize the technology of native media to re-target the old targets.

BEST RADIO
Winner: The Lost Dogs' Home "Peak Season". I also get surprised when the voice over talent gets surprised. They make the talent become the testee. It's a good trial to express the truth that this ad is trying to say.

Runner Up: STIHL Shop "Chainsnore". Impeccable sound design. The transition from snoring to chainsawing is seamless and perfect.
